SOUQ WAQIF is the most popular tourist attraction and the oldest souq in Doha. The market was named Souq Waqif (Standing Market) because sellers used to stand at the entrance to display their wares. It is popularly said that no trip to Doha is complete without visiting Souq Waqif.
